EXPERIMENT 3: THE ARCHITECTURE

PROJECT REACH
STUDENTS

"Algorithms not only calculate structural integrity, but the behaviour of the natural within a timeless context, in order to transform the theoretical into the practical."

In this section, the students have two dedicated sections: Studio and their own meeting room. Whilst interaction with staff is vital to learning, students self-study,reflection time and peer to peer communication is also vital to developing the student's mind.

STUDIO
The Studio is big and open: aimed to cater for as many students as possible who wish to do any task; study, collaborate or relax. This is an area where multiple ideas can be released or problems can be solved together for one of the best ways to study is to collaborate. Again, the big open windows allow natural sunlight and view of the university, also for students below to wonder what ideas could be spawned above. The moving element above allows closure of the roof top for the side panels are made of shaded glass which are also UV coated. Around midday or any situation of a storm, the roof can be covered shielding the glass roof. If more sunlight is desired, the additional roofing can dissolve again.

STUDENT MEETING ROOM
For more private conversations, the student meeting room can be booked to where students can focus solely on group assignments. Writing on the glass is encouraged as this is a room for open discussion for students.

The Student's Hub is dedicated solely to the 100 students to where they can discuss ideas with one another. Whilst university can be seen as solely one's career path, a cohort can further develop an individuals perspective and learning which both spaces encourage.
